Social Studio / Team roles and operation permissions

Social Studio team access and publishing permissions

Assign existing social roles to eligible workspace members and distinguish preparation, review, publishing and account management.

PRODUCT VIEW

See how it works.

Social Studio team access treats permissions on social content separately from general workspace membership. Existing roles are Manager, Publisher, Preparer and Reviewer; each has a different scope for preparing content, reviewing another person’s work, taking over approved publication or managing accounts. An authorized workspace owner or administrator can review eligible members and their current access source. Changing a social role does not automatically change the person’s general workspace role.

FROM NEED TO OUTCOME

Where this helps.

Not everyone involved in content production needs publishing or account-management access. Without separating preparation and review responsibilities, decision ownership becomes unclear.

WHAT YOU CAN WORK TOWARDS

Choose the social role that supports the team’s existing division of work. Approve access changes with their scope, and assess operations already submitted to providers separately from membership changes.

IN EVERYDAY WORK

What it looks like in practice.

Agency manager

Giving a designer preparation responsibility and another team member internal review responsibility.

Social roles follow the division of work, keeping operation boundaries visible without changing general CRM roles.

Scenarios are illustrative; they are not customer testimonials or measured performance claims.

KNOW WHAT IS INCLUDED

Plans, permissions and limits.

Professional includes 5 connected social accounts per workspace; Business includes 12. Available tools and actions depend on your role, account type and provider permissions.

  • Viewer, billing or inactive workspace memberships may be ineligible for social production access.
  • Technical capacity and eligibility conditions for additional social access records are verified during setup.
  • Removing access does not automatically cancel posts previously submitted to a provider.

YOUR QUESTIONS

About this feature.

01Does a social role also change the general CRM role?

No. This screen manages Social Studio access; the general workspace membership role is assessed separately.

02Can I design new custom roles for every member?

The current scope uses defined social roles and does not promise a general custom-role builder.
